Unused Pokémon Ruby cries?

Recently, on October 12, 2011 drx, the owner of a German Pokémon Ruby prototype which he purchased from a Nintendo employee (more here, here and here) dumped his ROM.
I've noticed something strange on the 'Driver Test' screen for playing Pokémon cries. As we already know, the Pokémon Ruby index numbers for Pokémon don't end at 386, they end at 411 (edit:at least not including Egg, Unown B-?). The 25 were dummied out, (using the prototype "??" sprite) and have Unown cries in battle.
The strange thing though is that on this Driver Test menu they don't use Unown cries. Out of the used cries, 252 is still Treecko's cry, but 253 is Roselia's, 254 is Torkoal's, 255 is Electrike's, 256 is Manectric's, 257 is Duskull's, 258 is Latias, 259 is Wynaut's, 260 is Seviper's, 261 is Sharpedo's, 262 is Mawile's, 263 is Azurill's, 264 is Swablu's, 265 is Altaria's, 267 is Taillow's, 268 is Swellow's and 270 is Linoone's. Interestingly for 258, if we don't count Treecko this is where Blaziken should be. I can't help but think its position might be related to that early half Blaziken/Latias design, though it's probably a coincidence.
It may be of note that a handful of those Pokémon were used in the Pokémon Festa 2002 demo, including Roselia, Wynaut, Sharpedo, Taillow and Azurill.
There were two cries never assigned to any Pokémon at 266 (I thought it sounded a little like a sheep, which made me think about that @gamer interview which talked about an unused 'cloned sheep' Pokémon, but very much likely a coincidence from my own confirmation bias) and 269. Maybe these cries exist hidden in the final version too somewhere.
