While I was looking at my official guide for Pokémon Stadium 2, I noticed that some screenshots were from some beta version. Specifially, the beta apparently uses a different font from the final version, where it has a different style and it's italicized. The gender icons look different, too. I scanned a few of these, if you want to see any: oi55.tinypic.com/28i26mr.jpgoi54.tinypic.com/elb97d.jpgoi53.tinypic.com/3469ug9.jpgNot all screenshots are beta ones. For example, here's one that seems to be more recent, given that the font is that from the final game: oi54.tinypic.com/25ivy1g.jpgI apologize for the imperfect quality of the scans. The scanner I used doesn't really do this much justice: the quality isn't the best and it looks kinda grainy, but I hope it's clear enough. Also, Tinypic seems to reduce the resolution of the images if they're too large, so that doesn't help much either. Oh well. There are more beta screenshots besides these, if anybody wants to see more, I can scan more of these. All of them are pretty much the same though: just a slightly different font. Also, as an aside, on the subject of the official Stadium 2 guide, I believe this is the first time the term "Eeveelution" is officially used, ever. I know this is unrelated, but I felt like mentioning it.

That's interesting. Nice find Blaziken. I don't own Stadium 2, a Transfer Pak or even an N64, but maybe we should look through the character bank? I'm curious, what would happen if you transferred a Pokémon using bold characters (hex:60 to 6D, and 70 to 74) [e.g. bold A-M], in its name, over to Pokémon Stadium 2, would it perhaps use a leftover character from the old font.
