I've recently become fascinated by a glitch I've noticed happen to a couple of people on YouTube. In Citadark Isle, there is a particular room with levitating platforms. Occasionally, a strange effect occurs where the character randomly walks over air and walls to get to various platforms by himself, and alternates between platforms regularly. It has been observed by the individuals to whom the glitch occurred that it was triggered after defeating a trainer named Cipher Peon Gromlet. Here is a video of the room in which the glitch takes place, and the trainer whom you must defeat in order to initiate the glitch. Furthermore, the video shows the glitch in action; beginning at 5:21 and lasting until 5:30. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hdosaT6NCIWhat interests me about this glitch is the fact that it allows you to walk outside the normal game boundaries and actually save there (All of the videos show that the player can walk around as normal at some point, which entails that a player is capable of pressing Start and saving at that point). www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ah69BFf7pSEwww.youtube.com/watch?v=XyRLs6BHv4QJust felt like bringing this glitch to you guys' attention, seeing as I've never seen it mentioned anywhere before. I'm sure some of you may be familiar with it, but if you are able to test the glitch out and note any results, that would be great. I personally intend to reset my own copy of Pokemon XD so that I can see how the glitch works for myself.

I'm bumping this thread up because I managed to get to the room in question today after restarting the game a week and a half ago. The first video in my above post is from a walkthrough, and the person who did the walkthrough triggered it by a total accident. The battle against the trainer (Cipher Peon Gromlet) who may or may not be the trigger of the glitch, is shown from 2:32 to 5:20.
So, if it's not too much of a bother, I'd appreciate any ideas (based on the battle, or anything else in the video) on why the glitch might happen. For example, today I tested out a theory I had as to why the glitch happens, which was that a Pokemon leveling up and learning a new move after defeating the last Pokemon could be what causes the glitch to happen. (That was done in the video at 5:09 when the Sharpedo tries to learn Swagger.)
My above theory was wrong, of course; I tested it on a Shroomish who tried to learn Mega Drain after Wailord was defeated, but the glitch did not occur. Perhaps the platforms have to be in a certain position before you enter battle? I'll be testing this soon; I really hope I can figure this glitch out!
