Yellow gave rise to the popularity of the Q glitch which is one of my personal favorites. For its sheer usefulness in duplicating items in Yellow, I also enjoy using the Ditto trick/Mew glitch to force an encounter with Missingno's fossil/ghost forms. I still haven't learned all the glitches, but those are ones I'd recommend. Just be careful about saving beforehand, and make sure everything works to your liking before saving afterward. I recently had to restart my game in Yellow after saving in the middle of the mew glitch. (Giovanni disappeared in Silph Co. and the game invariably froze whenever I tried to face him there.)

I recently had to restart my game in Yellow after saving in the middle of the mew glitch. (Giovanni disappeared in Silph Co. and the game invariably froze whenever I tried to face him there.) This happened to me too using Fly in Route 8 Gambler, defeating a Rocket in F11 Silph and returning to Route 8 from Lavander. I do not know why, but to prevent that Mew Glitch can disappear a sprite in the game (as to Giovanni in Silph, TM19 in Route 25, Snorlax in Route 12, etc...) is recommended go to Saffron before of returning to the Route where appears the level 7 Pokémon. To perform the Mew Glitch I use Fly on Route 6 Bug Catcher and return to Route 6 from Saffron.
