Pokémon Postbellum
"War does this! Remember!" - Unknown, upon defeating the player
Introduction
Kanto has recently gone through a large-scale war. They were victorious, but it's certainly hard to tell given the state of things.
Wild Pokémon have now gotten terrifyingly strong, and some Pokémon have appeared where they never have before. They needed to survive, and went by their instincts to strengthen themselves as much as possible. The same can be said for the common Trainers.
The Gym Leaders and Elite Four were enlisted as generals. The Gym Leaders had to protect their towns, and the Elite Four led operations while protecting the region with absurdly strong Pokémon.
Technological breakthroughs allowed the generals to give their Pokémon previously unavailable moves, and to raise them past their limits.
This is where a new trainer starts his journey.
Features
- Minor aesthetic changes; some houses will have rock coverings for protection, others will be damaged; new text borders (two different ones are used depending on the situation)
- Minor map edits; dungeons will be able to be finished much faster--this is to help with the difficulty
- Script edits; mostly before boss fights, and the intro. Also, no more WRITING LIKE THIS.
- Opponent edits; wild Pokémon will be much stronger, and will be able to be used for training; some new wild Pokémon (there is a "Boss Pokémon" in most areas with a 10% encounter rate); trainers will also be much stronger; Gym Leaders have new, much stronger teams. The Elite Four and Champion undergo a full overhaul
- Other minor edits; title screen Pokémon, Mart items, Gym Leader prizes
- New music; most of it will likely stay the same, but I am holding a contest for music which I will put in at the moment
