This is why I prefer subtitles
Next time I get some potato chips I'll try writing equations in one hand, killing people in the other, and then snackulate
Maybe I'll convince my dad to get me some authentic Japanese ones
And do the everything in Japanese
It could take a while to learn
But then again, why not
It's a useful language
Apparently
I already know pronouns, it shouldn't be too hard
And honorifics
And I might be getting the hang of how nouns work
Definitely know adjectives
But I don't know how to write it
They have three alphabets
And lots of different number systems
So it could be pretty hard
I could practice with Pokemon
But whatever
I can enjoy potato chips without knowing some foreign language
Maybe I could do it in Latin
But I don't know the word for potato
And Latin numerals are irritating
I don't know enough Spanish
And the only Swedish I know is incredibly profane
So English should be okay
I suppose
English is an irritating language
Little structure
Even Spanish retained most of the subject-verb agreement from Latin
We only kept number subject-agreement
Case is determined by word order
Which I suppose isn't too bad, a lot of languages do that
But Latin doesn't
I don't think Japanese does either
We have shitty spelling rules
Like i before e except after c
Which doesn't work in a lot of weird words
And homonyms
Sometimes it's incredible
For instance, the word "look"
It can be an action verb, [to see]
A linking verb, [to look like]
A noun, [style or fashion]
It must be really irritating for people trying to learn English
Oh dear, I've been really going on about languages
I haven't even mentioned accents
Or idioms
Jeez, I can't enjoy anime without rambling about translations and such
I'm too good at this
Fine then
Bye
