I would recommend it. I think it's a general improvement to Generation IV, with improved battling mechanics, the cutscenes, good music, and a wider range of Wi-Fi facilities e.g. random battle, Pokémon Dream World, GTS negotiations, some downloadable content, etc. Though once you do everything major, it starts to become quite materialistic or otherwise tedious in nature like the other main-series Pokémon games if you plan to continue, unless you really enjoy things like doing things like competitive battling (i.e. "the familiar let's strip our older games of all its Pokémon!"). However, there's arguably a little more to explore than in Generation IV after defeating the main game, since you don't actually beat the Elite Four, so you can come back (where the opponents have pumped up levels when you fight them again, like FR/LG) and there are a few new areas of Unova to explore (albeit, a few of them like Lacunosa Town you can't really do much), high-level Trainers, a side quest where you need to locate the sages, and of course Kyurem, etc. I'm starting to lose a little interest in the Pokémon main-series just to repeat the whole standard formula of battling with and collecting monsters, somehow stopping a major crime syndicate, becoming a champion etc and then it all ending with nothing else to do but collect monsters, small things, and repeating the same stuff. Black and White wandered away from this to some extent, with the story behind N and little things like not actually getting inducted into the Hall of Fame this time, and the feeling of a fresh new start with new Pokémon and reset route numbers. I think that maybe Game Freak should start to do that kind of thing more often, they could keep the monster-collecting RPG genre as people enjoy it but maybe they could put a little more effort into making them different. Then again, the franchise is so massive that it would probably be very hard not to alienate others, especially people who are expecting 'traditional Pokémon' if big radical changes were made to the main game (e.g. a completely different battle mode) without incorporating it into a side series. Perhaps it would be a good idea if there were more side-series Pokémon games which would stray away from what is generally considered to be canon. For instance, I enjoyed Pokémon Snap, because it was nothing to do with getting Pokémon on your side in anyway, but there was still that feeling of collecting things. Maybe Nintendo could publish something like a Pokémon platformer (not Pokémon Adventure ), for a change and develop it in such a way to appeal to 'hard-core' gamers? What I dislike about Black and White is that you need two DSes to transfer Pokémon from Generation IV to Generation V, and you can't even transfer their held items yet, so that makes way for unnecessary battle point grinding, treasure hunting, Dream World, etc when you might not want it.

Lol yeah, I wasn't clear enough. Indeed, the fact we need two DSes to transfer from Gen IV to Gen V sucks, as well we can't transfer items. But other than that, it's a good game. DW is kinda childish, though.
