It's not temporary and both the site and forums are still doing it.

Not to be rude or anything, but complaining about it here isn't going to magically make anything better. It's a memory issue. The server simply does not have enough memory to handle the site. I will have to either switch out the database engine or upgrade the memory on it.

(oh yeah, please can you make a mobile version like m.glitchcity.info) We have WAP2 support for forums.glitchcity.info, so that forum posts are viewable on mobile devices when its up. See here for the main index in WAP2 mode. You can also reply to posts and make new threads, etc. this way. Don't worry about the site being temporarily offline, it's probably partly due to all the traffic from bots. Unfortunately, I don't think you can currently do that with the Wiki articles. You can view a print-friendly version of the page, but it still has the toolbar. Proboards might look fine with WAP, although I haven't tried it with my mobile phone because I've never actually used it for the Internet. Google PDA has the main index of the temporary forum listed. If that fails then you can view a printer friendly version of a thread (http://profglitch.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gcltempboard&action=print&thread=[NUMBER] ), which should look all right on mobile devices although unfortunately you can't post in print mode.

Regarding complaints, I was just stating what was going on in case nobody was aware of it. Not complaining. I figured that you'd want feedback regarding making the site stable, but I guess not?

Feedback is always appreciated, but trust me, I know when my server is down. I make it my business to know.
Trying to optimize the database to use less memory. See if that helps. Note that it hasn't gone down in the last few days.
