Btw, is the GTS Trade evolution glitch still working in Gen V?

- As for the word filter: Well, I'm glad that it got fixed, it seemed inconvenient that you couldn't deposit certain Pokémon just because they coincidentally contain a bad string. I'm not sure why it's even necessary; I've used the GTS countless times in Generation IV and have never once seen a Pokémon with vulgar words in it. Maybe Nintendo is just more paranoid now for some reason. (Then again, someone thought it was a good idea to mess up the mail system since Ruby/Sapphire by using limited vocabulary...)EDIT: Since Spanish and Italian Pokémon names are all the same as English ones, I wonder if those two languages have/had bad words that affected some Pokémon... - As for the wrong picture: I've seen this lots of times in all Generation IV games, but I have yet to see it in a Generation V game. Then again, I haven't used the GTS much yet. But it does baffle me as to why a glitch since Diamond and Pearl was never fixed. Surely they know about it? - As an aside: I would like to see Nintendo not allow people ask for Level 1 Reshirams and whatnot. This is impossible to trade as of now, so anybody who asks for these types of Pokémon will never receive anything. (And yes, once I saw someone offer a shiny Nidoking and asked for a Reshiram Level 10 or under... way to boast about your shiny Pokémon without risk of losing it.) I think that Nintendo have hinted censorship in the past with the whole "gaming experience may change via online gameplay" message (interestingly of note, it wasn't used in Japanese D/P), though I agree that its not necessary to block a nickname. I think that, that message alone is enough. If some people want to give their Pokémon an offensive nickname, they'll likely circumvent the censorship in some way, which if anything encourages the "problem". As you suggested, you don't generally see Pokémon with offensive nicknames on the GTS every day. RE - Level 1 Reshiram: I certainly agree with stopping offers like that, especially in active hours of the day where other offers seem to get 'masked'.

"gaming experience may change via online gameplay" I believe that that message is simply required by the ESRB for all games that allow you to interact with others online.

Random note: When I played a Spanish version of Pearl once, it didn't have the ESRB message (I haven't tried any other Gen IV games though). Not surprising since the ESRB is generally only in North America. About the trade evolution glitch: That's interesting, I should try that out in Gen V because I have no idea if it still works. I can do that easily by depositing a Boldore and asking for a Level 1 Reshiram so that I don't risk losing it. XD EDIT: I just tried it and it did NOT work. Oh well. Now I just caught a Boldore all for nothing

"gaming experience may change via online gameplay" I believe that that message is simply required by the ESRB for all games that allow you to interact with others online. I stand corrected, thanks. A few experiments I'm doing as part of a question SnorlaxMonster asked me, to see whether names containing banned keywords are still blocked and whether just species names are an exception to this. A Snover named COFAGRIGUS to a Japan recipient: Success. A Spiritomb named COFAGRIGUS to a UK recipient: Success. A Ponyta named SHITS to a UK recipient: Success. A Deino named SAUCE to a UK recipient: Success. A Tynamo named CONKELDURR to a French recipient: Success A Shroomish named CONKELDURR to a UK recipient: Success It looks like the whole "if name contains a keyword" ban on the GTS itself has been lifted. Though I haven't tried it with a Gen IV Pokémon that contains just the keyword (Poké Transfer lets you transfer one over, so I'll now be testing 'SHIT' (Grimer) and 'SAU' (Fearow). Edit: Unrelated, but if you try to import a GenIV:494 you get a generic "This Pokémon cannot be caught with Poké Transfer" message.

What about glitch hybrids? (8000s)

What about glitch hybrids? (8000s) For 8001, the same message came up and it used the usual [?] icon, even though the Y in YXXX seems to be ignored when forcing wild battles in Black/White, resulting in an ordinary Bulbasaur in B/W itself.

I remember when I would AR in fake pokemon able to pass gen IV's lame legitimacy checks and trade them. Poor idiots. But I don't think those people will do it again.

Just another piece of annoying censorship. It's not nearly as bad as the HS/SS Game corner rape censorship though. I don't care what others have to say about Voltorb flip. I hate the new game corner. Period.

According to Blazios of Bulbapedia, this is still an issue. See these Bulbapedia edits. Now, I don't know exactly which Pokémon this applies to, but I just tried both Nosepass and Probopass and it wouldn't let me offer either of them. If you restrict a GTS search to an English-speaking country, there are no results for Nosepass and Probopass. Here is a complete list of candidates that I made in April, deleted when the glitch was removed, then restored earlier today, then fixed it up with my tests. EDIT: A friend of mine found where all the words are by entering a banned name, then extracting the RAM. This drastically increased the size of the list of banned words. We didn't end up getting them all yet either; I think he intends to get back to it tomorrow. See here for the new list. It includes common English words like "bite" and "pine", and "PD" due to other languages. Note that these changes, other than including Gabite, have not yet been checked against Pokémon names, so have not yet been added to my potentially banned Pokémon list. EDIT2: Okay we have absolutely all of them. This list is really large. Anyway, two letter words like "SA", "PD", and "SS" open up a lot of potential problem Pokémon.

I know this thread is pretty much dead at this point, but I have to ask. What's a Coloserrigus?
