This glitch works on Red/Blue/Yellow (any language), but Hooked Dragonite only appears in american Red/Blue. 1. We do the Glitch City trick and exit of Safari Game when left 40 steps approximately. 2. Fly to Pewter City and talk with the guy who is on the right of Mart ("Museum Guy") and answer NO, then the guy will lead us to the museum and appear Ding-Dong advice. 3. When we exit of the Safari Zone we appears outside of Pewter City Mart, we will see a text and the "Museum guy" will disappear for about 3 seconds. At the time that the "Museum guy" is gone immediately we save the game and then reset. 4. When we restart, we will see that "Museum guy" is not in her place, at that time the Museum guy is walking infinitely in Pewter City from north to south in 2 directions at once (through houses and everything that he puts in front). We follow one of two Museum guys and tried to talk to him (it is a little tricky because sometimes we ignore and keep walking). 5. ONLY in Red/Blue, we stand 1 step to the left of the Pokémon Center door, talk with the museum guy and answer NO (is necessary that we should be standing to the left of the museum guy), the game will be paused a few seconds and then the guy say a phrase and immediately appear Hooked Dragonite. *********************************** Hooked MissingNo (only in Red/Blue). If first We do the skip Pewter City Gym glitch and after we do the Hooked Dragonite glitch, but replacing the museum guy with the "Gym guy" then appear a Hooked MissingNo. *********************** Enter to Cerulean Cave with Hooked Dragonite Glitch (Yellow). In Pokémon Yellow make the Hooked Dragonite Glitch, we stand 2 steps to the left and 4 steps to the down of the Museum door and talk with museum guy, then Fly to Cerulean City.

Nice glitch. Isn't it possible to skip the "hooked Dragonite" mensage and catch it?

Hi Paco,
So you ran out of Safari Zone steps whilst being escorted to the Museum then returned to talk to the NPC again and triggered this Hooked Dragonite? That's a great idea, I didn't even know that this NPC even escorted you to the museum. It's interesting that the game calls it hooked (there's an internal flag that has to be 01 or up for that to appear), does the game call it hooked for all 'follow-me' encounters with a closable window?
Out of interest, what happens when you run out of steps whilst being forced to walk to Lance's room and return there?
I don't know what we should call these glitches as a whole, "Ditto Trick" won't do and not even "Trainer-Fly" anymore, "wild Pokémon manipulation" is too broad...

First of all: wow nice find, and confirmed it works for pokemon red!
You indeed can't skip the "Hooked Dragonite" message, it will not crash but stay there forever. Funny Fact: If you wait long enough the "museum guy" will stop walking and be stuck in the roof of the musuem.
I couldn't get anything interesting out of the lance walking part nor the hall of fame since you will be transported to a glitch city in which you can't do anything

Nice glitch. Isn't it possible to skip the "hooked Dragonite" mensage and catch it? No, the game freezes in that part and just listen the music. It's interesting that the game calls it hooked (there's an internal flag that has to be 01 or up for that to appear), does the game call it hooked for all 'follow-me' encounters with a closable window? Maybe. I do not know about internal programming of a game. what happens when you run out of steps whilst being forced to walk to Lance's room and return there? Nothing happens, when we exit of Safari Zone we appear in another Glitch City area. Also I tested ran out of Safari Zone steps when Prof. Oak whilst being escorted to the Hall of the Fame room and nothing happens, Oak just teleported to the left side of the room. I don't know what we should call these glitches as a whole, "Ditto Trick" won't do and not even "Trainer-Fly" anymore, "wild Pokémon manipulation" is too broad... Maybe "Curious Glitch". Wow these are really amazing! How are you finding them A friend in Pokémon-Stats forum showed me this glitch, when I tested the glitch I founded that Hooked Dragonite and time after when in GCL show the skip Pewter City Gym glitch, I combined both glitches and founded that Hooked MissingNo. Soon I will try to explain that glitch in English.

Tested some more:
In yellow I can't get the hooked dragonite message to appear, however if you talk to the guy from the right instead of the left you will go for a journey to somewhere through houses and forests like you have a WtW cheat activated, also the menu will popup constantly and the down button stops functioning.
Fun fact from the safari glitch: If you time out while you are spinning from a spinning tile in the viridian city gym you can not walk normaly anymore, but you spin constantly.
note: somebody needs to film this, don't know how

I'll video it if you like.

That topic is the origin of "Another Mew Trick". Time ago I saw an old spanish forum a trick called "Missingno trick for spanish versions", that trick was surfing in the grass using Reboard the S.S Anne technique. When I tested the trick I found only a wild Tentacool, then I thought that it was a fake trick. After a friend tested that trick too and found a wild Pokémon Glitch and confirmed that no was a fake trick. I tested the trick again and that time the trick works but always appeared the same Pokémon. A few years after I tested the trick again and little after I found that depending the trainer to defeat before of surf in the grass, appears different Pokémon, Pokémon Glitch or Wild Trainers. ********* Torchickens, do you understand the Spanish language? If your answer is yes, maybe this link might be of interest. Fun fact from the spinning glitch: If you are sppining and you surf without releasing the pad in the direction that you walk, then you may transform Red sprite in Prof. Oak sprite. Note: Only we may transform the Red sprite in Oak sprite surfing in Viridian City, Pallet Town and Routes 20, 21 and 22.

Torchickens, do you understand the Spanish language? If your answer is yes, maybe this link might be of interest. I've been relying on machine translation to read about some of the glitches on Pokemon-Stats, however the above page is still very useful and fairly easy to understand. The screenshots and videos help a lot. Thanks for the link.

In regards the the "spinning glitch" it seems to work like a repel, atleast I could not get any wild pokemon to appear, after I resetted myself (by entering the viridian gym again) I could encouter wild pokemon.
