Yeah I heard about this... so is the censorship on the server or the cartridge? I sure hope it's the former...
Yeah, did Nintendo even bother to test this filter out before releasing the games? How lazy!

This is just a guess, but it seems they used the same method they did if you try to nickname a Pokemon you got in a trade. So basically using a "if" statement and had the game check to see if it was one of the few curse words in the english language. Though it doesn't work for your name it seems, my gf named herself "gayass" as a joke and it allowed her to do so. I've noticed a minor graphic glitch. There's always one random misplaced pixel in the void if you enter a 2 story house in White. Was I the only one to notice this? :V If so, i'll try to get a pic tomorrow though the quality will suck because i'll be taking a pic from my phone. :\

Blaziken, actually the censorship are in both the cartridge and the server, but the cartridge only refuses the name if it has only 'that' word (for example, it bans 'cum', but not 'cumsh0t'), but as Torchic said, the server refuses the pokémon even if the 'word' is in any part of the pokémon's name, like Co'fag'rigus.

Well... that's good that the filter that is responsible for blocking these trades is on the server. That means it can be fixed eventually, right?

Yeah, they could make a exception for Cofagrigus.

I just was completely assured that it is impossible to get an egg in your party without any other pokemon. I know this because when I tried using the manaphy egg code without any pokemon in your party the ranger that gives you the egg will not appear.

Using an AR code generated off pokesav, I entered a wild battle with an egg only. This triggered me sending out a Invisible Shiny Bulbasaur. Also, when the battle ended and I was blacked out, the pokeball on the healing machine stayed after I was done.

I've been waiting at least two years to know what would happen if you did that.

This is called the fire spin glitch, and it's so crazy. It almost works like pulling the link cable out during a battle!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9GRg9xxZqk&playnext=1&list=PL118F5CF341A81A43

So here is a glitch that I don't think anybody has mentioned yet. It involves skipping Brock in Red/Blue. Please note that I did not discover this glitch, so I take no credit for it. I first saw it in a TAS of Red, so I don't know who actually discovered it.
Anyway, to do this:
- First, press Start and highlight the cursor on Save, but do not save yet. Just exit the menu. - Then walk east out of Pewter City until that guy who doesn't let you pass until you beat Brock stops you. (Note: being two blocks right of him and two blocks down from him seems to work best.) Let him talk to you. - As soon as he is done talking to you and the dialog box disappears, hold Start so that the menu appears. Now choose Save and save the game. (Note: The cursor will be stuck, which is why it needs to be selected ahead of time.) - Reset the game. - Hold Right as soon as the game starts up. If done correctly, you should be able to bypass him and skip Brock. (If he still talks to you, don't worry, when you get back, his sprite should not be there and you should be able to bypass him if you walk near the top of the path. This is why I said you should be two blocks right and two blocks south of him previously, though.)
Yeah it's useful, especially if you have Charmander.
HOWEVER, like the Old Man glitch and the Man on the Roof glitch, this glitch does not work at all in the Spanish version. I wonder if this was fixed in other versions as well...

We actually already have this on the main site since before the Wiki. Its been documented many times before.
