Basically this method for Get any Pokémon in RBY, involves in turning the Remaining HP of a Pokémon into a Pokémon (equivalent to hex value of the Remaining HP) using to Q/Charizard ´M. If we want a Pokémon with our ID No. is necessary that the Pokémon with Remaining HP required, be a Pokémon with Catch Rate of 255. Steps: 1) In a empty Bill PC Box (never used), deposit first the Pokémon with Remaining HP required, after other 3 any Pokémon and last to Q/Charizard ´M. 2) Fill the party and catch a wild Pokémon of Catch Rate of 255 (this Pokémon is transferred to the top in the Bill PC box). 3) With only 1 Pokémon in the party, withdraw to Q/Charizard ´M (this cause a glitch on the top in the Bill PC Box). 4) Withdraw the top Pokémon in the Box (now the Pokémon with Remaining HP required is in the top Box), withdraw other 2 Pokémon and after the Pokémon with Remaining HP required. In this moment the Pokémon with Remaining HP required is turned into a unstable hybrid Pokémon, stabilize the hybrid via Day Care center. After stabilizing the hybrid, the wanted Pokémon will have (internally) Type1/Glitch and Type2/Glitch (I suppose hex FF Glitch Type). An Pokémon got using this method, is possible trade it between RBY to RBY via Cable Link, for trade it to GSC is necessary use Pokémon Stadium 2 (via Pokémon Stadium 2 the Pokémon recover their respectives Types). If for performing this glitch we used a Pokémon with Catch Rate different to 255, to the Pokémon with Remaining HP required, all their internal bytes will be transferred 2 positions upward and the wanted Pokémon will have different ID No., different Types, Catch Rate, Individual values, etc... For example: Is possible get any Pokémon with Type1/Normal and Type2/Ghost, if for performing this glitch we used a Pokémon with Catch Rate 00 (send a Pokémon from GSC without held Item) and Ice Punch as first move. The Catch Rate (hex 00) byte is transferred to Type1 byte turning in Normal Type (hex 00), the Ice Punch as first move byte (hex 08) is transferred to Type2 byte turning in Ghost Type (hex 08).

You work so hard! Does this mean that it's now possible to safely obtain and keep glitches hex FB, FC, FD and FE in every localization of Red/Blue/Yellow where hex:FF is available? Kudos to you.
I have a question. Would it be possible to change the existing stored catch rate of one of your Pokémon to by trading it to Gold/Silver/Crystal, removing its held item (if any), giving it a Berry and sending it back to Red/Blue/Yellow? In Generation II, the held item is drawn up based upon the existing capture rate.
About a month ago, I thought of a gimmicky trick for a 'hard to capture Pidgey' that in theory would dodge almost any standard ball at full health by replacing Pidgey's item with BrightPowder, trading it back to Red/Blue then having Ditto transform into it, but for some reason, that didn't work as far as I know (or maybe I was just lucky?). Perhaps Ditto copies the actual catch rate for the Pokémon from the ROM rather than the stored catch rate.

Whats the catch rate of a pokemon and how do you get Q or Charizard M Without going into much detail, get Charizard 'M in R/B by trading Q from Yellow, or just get Q in Yellow. I've run into some sort of problem trying to perform the glitch. Here's what I did:
Obtained a Caterpie (lv. 91) with 193/195 HP number corresponding with glitch pokemon ♀ . (C1) Obtained a traded Q nicknamed "QZaRD" Obtained 3 junk pokemon Deposited the pokemon in an empty box (box 12) in the following order: Caterpie, 3 junk pokemon, Q Changed box and filled my party then changed back to the box with Q Caught a wild junk pokemon so that it appeared at the top of my box Changed box, deposited all but one pokemon, and changed back to Q's box Withdrew the pokemon in the following order: Q, new pokemon at top, 2 junk pokemon each from the bottom, Caterpie Deposited Q Put Caterpie in daycare and took it out.
There was no change in Caterpie unfortunately, nor was there ever any sign of a glitch on top of the Bill's PC box after withdrawing Q. Hopefully I'm doing something wrong, but I've tried many times now without success.

Thanks for your awesome work Paco! Even if it doesn't work in my save file, hopefully we can figure out how to get it to work in others eventually.
BTW, I went ahead and caught a new a (lowercase) glitch pokemon on my yellow cartridge without nicknaming it, then I evolved it to Q, and there was still the same result. No success.

Edit: Could you make a copy of the save file and then test to see if the glitch still works? If the glitch still works, mind giving us the copy of your battery save file that you used? If we had that, we could check what bytes make this glitch possible and find what prerequisites are needed. I read the first post here and wrote a Bulbapedia article about it. Then I read the comments, and it seems that it isn't present in all copies. I can delete the article and restore it later if you would rather get full confirmation on it first, but I was hoping the people here would be able to correct/expand the article.

Could you make a copy of the save file and then test to see if the glitch still works? If the glitch still works, mind giving us the copy of your battery save file that you used? If we had that, we could check what bytes make this glitch possible and find what prerequisites are needed. Here are the saves that I used, but I think it will not be necessary because I think I found why sometimes the glitch does not work. Apparently, the game remembers the maximum quantity of Pokémon has been in a Bill PC Box (even if we emptied the box). If the box sometime ever had 6 or more Pokémon, the glitch does not work unless we remember exactly the maximum quantity of Pokémon has been in that box and we occupy that determined quantity of Pokémon for performing the glitch. For example: If a Pc Bill box sometime ever had 12 Pokémon, for performing the glitch in that box, we need the Pokémon with Remaining HP required + 10 any Pokémon + Q/Charizard´M. In the Blue save, the glitch don´t worked when I tested the glitch, but in the Box8, apparently that box ever had 16 Pokémon (currently have 14 Pokémon) then I tested the glitch with 16 Pokémon and works fine. If a Pc Bill box sometime ever had 20 Pokémon, the glitch will not work in that box. For performing this glitch, is better to use a box never used. I restarted a new game in my Red cartridge (on GBA SP), when I got the Pokédex, immediately I tested the glitch and works fine. Thanks for your awesome work Paco! This Glitch is not only useful for get any Pokémon, also is useful for modify the internal bytes of a Pokémon. I edited the first post to try explain better the glitch.

Hi ciel4. Could you test the glitch again according to what I said? I will do my best! Because I play on Pokemon Stadium I've often switched entire box contents on both my yellow and red game cartridges. I'm sure one of my boxes has not been full in the past, but I'll probably need to use a lot of pokemon. I'm excited to give it a try!

I've finished testing the most likely boxes on my yellow cartridge. I used Butterfree as my pokemon with remaining HP (I saw in your other video that Pigeot worked so I thought Butterfree would too), plus 16 pokemon and Q (18 total). Then I caught Spearow/Ratatta/Magicarp to make 19 in each box. I haven't had success on my yellow cartridge, but I'm about to try it on Red, then I'll restart my Red game if it doesn't work. It may be that Pokemon Stadium has ruined the chance of the glitch working on my current save files. Even though I know there are boxes which have never been full, they haven't worked, possibly because Stadium has made it as though they had been full. I haven't any way of testing my idea. It's just a thought.
